oops - to end - I never understood the pain, sadness, darkness that goes along with loss till I experienced it first hand. In the eulogy (sp?) that I read at my like mom's …d, "She would have wanted me to live - and I know there is so much more life to live".... With tears shed - I know that's what all our loved ones would want. Don't you think?

Ethel, I lost my (like) mother on January 15th, 2010. She was my rock, and she was the first person -close to me- that I had ever loss. Grieving is new to me. After readi…ile. Keep shining - as for people like I - need that sunshine from people like you. Love, Michelle I never understood the pain, sadness, darkness that goes along with loss.

Hi Barbie, I had a sebaceous cyst in that same area, it would grow then burst. Before it burst I felt like I had come down with the flu. Do you know if yours does this? I wou… see pictures of DC - it reminds me how lucky we are to be so close to so much. Perhaps if I am up to it...I will take the kids to see the cherry blossoms. Take care! Michelle

Dear Patty, I'm glad to hear you're good news, mine is not, my young husband was also treated at Siteman for ALL and he died Feb 17,2010 after stem cell transplant from acute… transplant, although his was allo, so from someone else that was a mismatched 9/10. Acute GVHD is a horrible disease, I wish we had 2nd and 3rd opions before going ahead with this

Thank you All! I needed my BFAC pals opinion to solidify my own decission, I will be talking to the Chemo Oncoligist in the morning about it, and yes I do agree with all of you. … or something. By the way I will be starting my treatment April 5th for 6 weeks with three chemo treatments, I guess that is pretty standard for this cancer Thanks again Val

Valerie, GET IT!! You won't regret it. Just make sure you keep swallowing. Even when mine came out (because I accidently got it caught in my nightgown and pulled it out) I wanted it back! You need a good GI doctor to put it in correctly but after the first week its a piece of cake. Anna

Hi again Michelle, For anxiety, I was prescribed Xanax. It helped me a lot. I know with meds for anxiety, not every pill works for every person, so you may need to try a couple … this point, almost 3months post treatment, I am not taking it any more as I no longer feel anxious! There is a company called Ostomy Secrets online that sell wonderful undergarments that work great for people like us. You can order online and she is quick. My skin is like yours and it is like Kathy said. And sometimes you can get a build up from the products but what you are using isn't anything to worry about. It is safe. :)

Hi, well even though i no longer have the ostomy, I so have some answers for you. Yes the skin is firm and even stays that way after a reversal. As for the moistness, I acutally sewed pouch covers out of old t shirts and would slip one over thep pouch to keep it off my skin. Kathy
