Small VictoriesViews: 442

Well, yesterday, Wednesday, was grocery shopping day. I put it off all day, including the brief period when we had sunshine. Finally, I finished dressing and we went out about 3:30 in the rain and the cold wind.

Finishing dressing for me now means putting on my scarf and hat. I have concocted what I hope will be a temporary solution until I can find a wig or hats that will fully cover my head. Of course, I looked a fright and also no one was going to be fooled—there’s goes a lady who has lost her hair to chemo. But I did it!

And we got our groceries and chilled to the bone.

That is a victory. So what if people say, “There goes a lady…” The victory is that you were brave enough to get out of the house and not care about what people think. We cancer suvivors have our own style and if it doesn’t jive with what the outside world deems acceptable, well, that’s their problem.

You’re a courageous woman, Carol. Keep at it.

Hugs…Grace

You go gal!

We love ya!

Sherri

I have the utmost respect for you. Fortunately my chemo never did effect my hair though it has seemed to affect every other part of my body.
Hold your head high, for anyone that would be rude enough to stare is ****** as far as I am concerned. Keep up the courage.
Well wishing,
Patty
