I really don’t like winter. It froze last night and it’s cold today. Yesterday, it think it was over 80, now too cold to sit outside.
I just did the formal transition and turned the heat on.
Since my husband stayed up all night to work on blogging on his favorite blog site, he’s still asleep and I have no one to complain to about being cold and depressed. Today, I am depressed about winter on the way.
I am also not looking forward to dealing with the pains in my joints that will come from the chemo exacerbated by the cold or driving to and from doctors appointments in bad weather.
For those of you not living in a subtropical climate and who have been through chemo in the winter, is it significantly worse than in the warmer months?

Ah Carol, I know what you mean. I used to love winter until a year ago when I landed in the hospital and didn’t get out until three weeks later. I hate depression, too, but I work at telling myself that “this too shall pass” and then watch episodes of my favorite comedy show. Laughing always seems to get me out of those moods. My prayers are with you…Grace
